ONLY GOD

He can bind my hurting wounds.
He can heal my broken heart.
He who blew that mighty wind
From the east the sea to part.

He will quiet all my fears.
He will make my soul to rest,
If only I but let him
Do what he knows to be best!

I know that I can trust Him
With my hopes, my dreams, and plans,
And hasn’t He who made me
Kept me safe within His hands?

I know in all my weakness
And struggle with the flesh,
I’d just be lost without Him
And would fail each trial and test.

So when I am sad or lonely
And weighted down with care,
It is then I must remember
To rush to Him in prayer!

Give to Him my troubled mind
And count my blessings, too;
For only God can calm my soul,
Only God can see me thru!
