For Me

From shining lights of glory,
My dear Savior came
To bear my sins on Calvary –
My guilt and all my shame.

Love took Him to that cross
To suffer in disgrace;
He was crucified for me –
Nailed there, He took my place.

My sin cost Him everything
God’s own dear Son could give.
Jesus gave His life for me –
He died so I could live.

No earthly power could stop Him;
He has risen from the grave.
He gave my soul full pardon –
To sin, no longer a slave.

Amazing grace from glory,
Lamb of God on Calvary’s tree –
To suffer shame, for my gain,
There was crucified for me.

Soon, one day He will return,
At last to take me Home –
Because that cross was for me,
Where He bought me for His own!
